These are all older children, which is sad because they are just over 6 yrs old, and in the world of an orphan, that's 'older'. These sweet little ones will have a much harder time finding a family because of their age. But oh, look at them! What a JOY they would be in a family! And in a lot of ways, it's easier than adopting an infant or toddler. They can walk by themselves, can feed themselves and are potty trained! What could be better, right? Well the first sweet boy is Brandon. He has such a sparkle in his eyes :) His parents tried for years and years for a child, and then they finally had little Brandon. But sadly, in the country he was born in there is little hope he'd be accepted into society, so he was brought to the orphanage ;(
This next little guy is Dima. He's such a bright, active little boy! He actually lived with his parents for a time because they didn't realize he had Ds. Then, like little Brandon, he was brought to the orphanage. A friend of mine has personally met him and sang praises about him! His time is running out...and he will soon be transferred :(
This is handsome Josiah. Isn't he just adorable! I love him. He was sleepy in this picture, but I can still see that sparkle is his eye too :) What a wonderful son he is just waiting to be...
This is little Lee. He reminds me so much of my husband at that age. It looks like he just wants to take off! So cute. And he's very smart and compassionate...he just needs a chance to be loved, and to be someones special little boy.
Beautiful Elizabeth....I'm so sad for her. She is just a ray of sunshine, playing with her baby dolls, so innocent and trusting. I'm so sad for her because she was recently transferred to an institution. Can you imagine what that must be like for her??? It breaks my heart. She needs someone...is it YOU???
Sweet Kate. Another little girl in desperate need for a mommy! She KNOWS what a mommy is and WANTS ONE SO BADLY! She recently asked an adoptive mom is she was there for her :( Her time is almost up and SO much potential and LOVE will be lost.....I can't bear the thought.
Next is Veronica....look at that smile! She just glows :) She's such a good girl too, calm and well behaved. Again, time is working against her....I would hate to see her lose that sparkle in her eyes.
I leave you with my sweet Catherine. I fear she has already lost the sparkle. She's been transferred to an institution and needs OUT! Please consider helping her, whether its spreading her beautiful picture around or donating to her fund....OR by taking her into your fold, loving her as your own daughter. That sparkle CAN be found, she just needs a reason to have it.
Hi Jodi, you are doing a wonderful thing posting about these kids. It is a reminder that I need to start doing it more myself.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a good heart. I know you would take them all if you could.
